BASIC SERVICE

Condor Moving Systems can assist you with all aspects of the relocation service included in every move whether you are moving locally or long-distance we provide the following services.

Disassembly and Reassembly: Certain furniture items cannot be safely moved without disassembly. Some examples of these items include: bed frames, cribs, playpens, dressers with mirrors attached, and two piece china hutches. Our full-time movers will disassemble these items and reassemble them upon delivery to your new home. Ready to assemble (RTA) or pressed wood furniture will not be disassembled by our movers. It is however recommended that you disassemble these items for safe transport to your new home. In addition, due to safety issues, we cannot disconnect, disassemble or reassemble electronics, major appliances, exercise equipment, trampolines, play grounds or swing sets.

Heavy Duty Padding: Prior to loading, our movers will wrap your furniture with heavy duty pads to prevent nicks and scratches during the move process. At your new home, the drivers will remove these pads from the furniture and place the items in the rooms you request.  

Loading and Unloading: After making a detailed inventory of your items "only on long-distance moves", our crews will carefully load all your belongings into our air-ride equipped vehicles. Air-ride is a special suspension system that provides a smoother ride for your belongings. When all the items are loaded, straps are used to secure your belongings in the truck to insure the load does not shift during transport. Upon arrival at your new home, all items will be unloaded. It is the customer's responsibility to check off the inventory during unloading to insure all items are received.

Placing items in designated rooms: When our movers arrive at your new home, they will place all your major furniture items in the rooms requested. A floor plan of your new home will be a great asset in deciding where you would like the items placed. It is a good idea for the customer to have the rooms marked as master bedroom, Johnny's room, etc to avoid any confusion during delivery.

Release Value Protection: Your estimated cost of services includes release value protection of sixty cents per pound per article for your belongings which is the minimum carrier's liability. If any article is lost, destroyed or damaged while in your movers custody, your movers liability is limited to the actual weight of the lost, destroyed or damaged article multiplied by 60 cents per pound per article. Please contact your sales consultant if you wish to purchase additional valuation coverage for your move.

Packing Options

Partial-Packing: Some customers wish to pack most of their belongings and leave the items needing special handling for the professional packers/movers. Our professional packers/movers will pack these special needs items on the day we load your belongings. Charges will be applied to the total cost of the move based on the packing materials used.

Full-Packing: Full-packing is availble to those customers prefer to leave all the packing for the professionals. Our professional movers/packers will pack everything to ensure safe transport. This service will be preformed either on the day of loading or a prior date depending on the size of your move. Charges will be applied to the total cost of the move based on the packing materials used.

Additional Services Available

Automobile Transport: We contract with a third party company who specializes in automobile transport to move your vehicle to your new home. Several pricing options are available for this service. Please contact your sales consultant for details.

Shuttle Services: Certain neighborhoods and municipalities have access restrictions for tractor trailers. If you are moving to or from an area imposing these restrictions, we offer shuttle services with smaller vehicles to transfer your goods between the tractor trailer and your home. It is a good idea to check with your local homeowners association, apartment manager or police department to see if these restrictions apply prior to your move. Your sales consultant can provide you with an estimate for the charges you will incur and avoid unforeseen expenses on your move day.

Crating: Some items such as antiques, paintings, large screen or plasma TV's or  other specialty items require special crating.  Crating is done to prevent damage to those fragile items during your local or long-distance move.  Our professional packers and movers will provide onsite crating for such items. Please make your sales consultant is aware of such items to ensure the moving crew has the proper materials to perform crating services. Please contact your sales consultant for pricing information.

Bulky Items: Items such as grand pianos, baby grand pianos, upright pianos and pool tables require special handling to insure they are protected during your move. Our professional movers are experienced at handling these special items with the utmost care. Please make your sales consultant aware of such items, to ensure the movers have the proper equipment to secure these items for safe transport. Your sales consultant can provide you with an estimated cost for the handling bulky items.
