What to Expect Delivering in Arizona
Arizona deliveries are shaped by two things above all — heat and the way the communities are built. Summer temperatures, gated and age-restricted developments, and monsoon season all affect how a delivery day runs. Here is what we plan for.

Phoenix and Tucson routinely run above 110°F from June through September, and a trailer parked in the sun gets far hotter than that. Deliveries are scheduled early in the day where possible, and heat-sensitive belongings — candles, electronics, vinyl records, artwork, cosmetics and anything with adhesive — are loaded to come off first.
Gated & Age-Restricted Communities
Sun City, Sun Lakes, Anthem, Verrado and a large share of Scottsdale and Gilbert control gate access, restrict move hours and sometimes limit truck size or weight on internal roads. We confirm the community rules before dispatch rather than negotiating at the gate.
HOA Rules & Move Windows
Arizona has an unusually high proportion of HOA-governed housing. Many associations set permitted move-in hours, require advance notice and prohibit weekend moves. Send us the community requirements with your estimate request.
Monsoon Season
From roughly July through mid-September, monsoon storms bring sudden downpours, dust storms and reduced visibility across southern Arizona. Conditions are monitored ahead of your date, and a shipment is held rather than run through an active dust storm on I-10.
Desert & Outlying Properties
Properties outside the metro areas — Cave Creek, Wickenburg, parts of Tucson’s outskirts and rural Pinal County — are often reached by unpaved road with washes that a loaded trailer cannot cross. Where a full-size truck cannot reach the house we shuttle in with a smaller vehicle.
Snowbird Season Demand
