What to Expect Delivering in Nevada
Nevada splits into two delivery markets that behave nothing alike. Las Vegas is heat and gated communities; Reno is elevation and winter. Here is what we plan for at each end.
Extreme Desert Heat
Las Vegas runs above 110°F from June through September and a trailer interior gets hotter still. Deliveries are scheduled early where possible, and heat-sensitive belongings — candles, electronics, vinyl records, artwork, cosmetics and anything with adhesive — are loaded to come off first.
Gated & Master-Planned Communities
Summerlin, Anthem, Aliante, Inspirada and much of Henderson control gate access, set permitted move hours and sometimes restrict truck size on internal roads. Send us the community name and its rules with your estimate request so access is arranged in advance.
High-Rise Condos
Towers along and near the Strip, in Downtown and at Lake Las Vegas require a certificate of insurance naming the building, a reserved service elevator and a booked loading dock window, often outside peak hours. Building requirements should come with your estimate request.
Reno & Mountain Passes
Reno, Sparks, Carson City and Incline Village sit at elevation, and winter brings chain controls and closures on the approaches, including Donner Pass. Conditions are monitored ahead of your date and a shipment is held rather than run into a closure.
Outlying Desert Properties
Properties in Pahrump, Sandy Valley, Logandale and rural Nye County are often on unpaved road with washes a loaded truck cannot cross after rain. Where a full-size truck cannot reach the house we shuttle in with a smaller vehicle.
Snowbird & Peak Season Demand
Inbound moves to southern Nevada rise from October through April. Booking early matters more on this lane than on most, particularly for delivery into Henderson and Summerlin.
