Punctual, good and professional. Condor Moving System is my go-to moving guys now. Fairly priced for the level of professional moving service they provide to their customers. They were very good in communication to me and among themselves. I have had many bad experiences with multiple movers before it. Condor is the first ever company that I found nobody to complain about, which is maybe a pretty rare thing to say about relocators.

Movers did a great moving job even though it was a not smooth and it's a very long job. Best value for the money we spend. They stayed professional and were kind throughout the move process. They recognized my items and if I needed to change the things, they did it for me rapidly. Very friendly teamwork. Will surly use them again!

These movers did a best job even though it was a tough and time taking job. Best value for the money it cost. Stayed professional and were helpful throughout the day of move. Honored my goods and if I required things changed they did it for me in little time. Very coordinated teamwork. Will definitely use them again for coming movers!

How Much Do Movers Cost in San Antonio?

The cost of hiring movers in San Antonio depends primarily on home size, crew size, distance, access and whether you need packing or specialty services. Local moves are generally billed hourly, while long-distance moves are priced based on the details of the shipment and destination.

How the 4-hour minimum works: every local move is billed at a 4-hour minimum — 3 hours of labor plus a 1-hour trip charge that covers driving to your origin and back from your destination. There is no separate fuel surcharge. A 3-mover crew at the 4-hour minimum comes to $796. Time beyond the minimum is billed at the same hourly rate. Your written estimate shows the applicable rate and expected charges before moving day.

Local conditions

What Makes Moving in San Antonio Different?

San Antonio moves have conditions that are easy to miss when you request a quote. Base access, historic districts, gated communities on the north side and Loop traffic all change how a day runs. Here is what we plan for.

Joint Base San Antonio Moves

Moves to or from Lackland, Fort Sam Houston and Randolph require gate access arranged in advance — crew identification, vehicle information and sometimes an escort or a base pass. Give us the installation and your sponsor details early so access is cleared before moving day rather than at the gate.

King William & Monte Vista Historic Homes

Many homes in King William, Lavaca, Monte Vista and Tobin Hill predate off-street parking, and their staircases are narrow and steep. Expect a curb stop, a longer carry and careful handling on turns. We check access rather than discovering it on the morning.

North Side Gated Communities

Stone Oak, The Dominion, Fair Oaks Ranch and Shavano Park often require gate clearance, have steep or winding approaches, and restrict truck size or work hours. Send us the community rules with your estimate request.

Loop 410, Loop 1604 & US 281

The two loops and the 281 corridor determine how long it takes to cross the city, and the 281 and 1604 interchange work has changed access in places. Routing and timing are part of planning the move.

Fiesta & Downtown Events

Fiesta in April brings parades and street closures across downtown and near the river, and other event weekends restrict access. If your date falls in one of those windows we plan parking and loading around it.

Summer Heat & Flash Flooding

San Antonio summers regularly clear 100°F, and heavy rain can close low water crossings quickly. Crews start early and pace the day, and weather is monitored ahead of your date.

Questions

San Antonio Moving FAQ

How much do movers cost in San Antonio?

Local moves in San Antonio are billed hourly by crew size. Condor’s rates start at $175 per hour for two movers and a truck, $199 per hour for three movers and a truck, and $225 per hour for four movers and a truck. Every local move has a 4-hour minimum, made up of 3 hours of labor plus a 1-hour trip charge covering travel to and from your locations, and there is no separate fuel surcharge. At the minimum, a 3-mover crew comes to $796. The total depends on home size, access, distance and whether you need packing or specialty services. Long-distance moves are priced on the details of the shipment and destination rather than by the hour.

How far in advance should I book San Antonio movers?

Two to four weeks ahead is a reasonable target for a local San Antonio move, and four to six weeks for a long-distance move. Summer, the end of any month and military PCS season fill first, so book earlier for those dates.

Is Condor Moving Systems licensed and insured?

Yes. Condor Moving Systems operates under USDOT 1126171, MC 458180 and TxDMV 006041428C.

Which San Antonio suburbs does Condor serve?

Condor serves San Antonio and the surrounding communities including New Braunfels, Schertz, Cibolo, Selma, Universal City, Live Oak, Converse, Boerne, Helotes, Leon Valley, Alamo Heights, Castle Hills, Bulverde, Fair Oaks Ranch and Seguin, spanning Bexar, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina and Wilson counties.

Can you move to or from Joint Base San Antonio?

Yes. Moves involving Lackland, Fort Sam Houston or Randolph require base access arranged ahead of time, including crew identification, vehicle details and in some cases an escort or visitor pass. Tell us the installation when you request your estimate so access can be cleared before moving day.

Can you move a historic home in King William or Monte Vista?

Yes. Homes in King William, Lavaca, Monte Vista and Tobin Hill often have no driveway, narrow streets and steep interior staircases. Access is reviewed before the move, the truck is positioned as close as the street allows, and equipment is matched to the property.

Does Condor provide long-distance moving from San Antonio?

Yes. Condor provides long-distance moving from San Antonio to other Texas cities and to destinations throughout the continental United States, operating under USDOT 1126171 and MC 458180 for interstate moves.
