Punctual, good and professional. Condor Moving System is my go-to moving guys now. Fairly priced for the level of professional moving service they provide to their customers. They were very good in communication to me and among themselves. I have had many bad experiences with multiple movers before it. Condor is the first ever company that I found nobody to complain about, which is maybe a pretty rare thing to say about relocators.

Movers did a great moving job even though it was a not smooth and it's a very long job. Best value for the money we spend. They stayed professional and were kind throughout the move process. They recognized my items and if I needed to change the things, they did it for me rapidly. Very friendly teamwork. Will surly use them again!

These movers did a best job even though it was a tough and time taking job. Best value for the money it cost. Stayed professional and were helpful throughout the day of move. Honored my goods and if I required things changed they did it for me in little time. Very coordinated teamwork. Will definitely use them again for coming movers!

Moving Between Texas and Minnesota Since 2003

Condor Moving Systems is a licensed interstate mover that handles household and office relocations between Texas and Minnesota in both directions.

Minnesota is a long lane, straight north on I-35 the whole way. The Twin Cities carry most of the volume, with steady traffic to Rochester for the medical centre and to the lake country north of the metro. Your shipment is inventoried and tagged at pickup, travels on our equipment, and is delivered by a crew working from that same inventory.

Condor operates from locations in Fort Worth and Houston and serves the entire state of Texas, running its own trucks and crews rather than subcontracted labor.

The route

How Far Is It From Texas to Minnesota?

A Texas to Minnesota move covers roughly 950 to 1,300 miles depending on which Texas city you leave and where in the state you land. Interstate moves are scheduled with a delivery spread rather than a single guaranteed date, because a trailer carries more than one household. Your estimate states the window for your specific route and dates.

Pricing

How Much Does It Cost to Move From Texas to Minnesota?

An interstate move is priced on the weight or volume of your shipment plus mileage — not by the hour. That is the key difference from a local move. A crew billed hourly has an incentive to work slowly; a shipment priced on weight and distance does not, which is why interstate moves are quoted this way.

What Determines Your Price

  • Weight or volume of the shipment
  • Distance between origin and destination
  • Packing services, full or partial
  • Packing materials and custom crating
  • Specialty items such as pianos or safes
  • Stairs, elevators and long carries at either end
  • Shuttle service where a tractor-trailer cannot reach
  • Storage in transit, if dates do not line up
  • Valuation coverage you select
  • Time of year and date flexibility

How to Keep the Cost Down

  • Purge before the estimate, not after — you pay to move weight
  • Book outside the May to August peak if you can
  • Give a flexible delivery window rather than a fixed date
  • Pack what you reasonably can yourself
  • Take an accurate inventory so the estimate is not padded
  • Sort out condo and HOA paperwork early to avoid a wasted trip
  • Ask about consolidating with another shipment on the same lane
  • Measure oversized furniture against the new doorways first

Interstate household moves are regulated by the FMCSA. Condor provides the federal Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet with interstate estimates, and your written estimate shows the expected charges before loading day.

What to Expect Delivering in Minnesota

Minnesota deliveries are planned around winter first and everything else second. Deep cold, snow load, lake access and skyway-era buildings all factor in. Here is what we plan for.

Deep Winter Conditions

From November into April, Minnesota sees sustained sub-freezing temperatures, heavy snow and ice. Driveways, steps and walkways must be cleared and salted before a crew can carry safely, and I-35 closes in blizzard conditions at short notice. Conditions are monitored ahead of your date.

Cold-Sensitive Belongings

Sustained deep cold affects more than comfort. Liquids freeze and split, and electronics, musical instruments, artwork and anything with a battery or a screen do not respond well to hours at those temperatures. We flag items in your inventory worth carrying yourself.

Twin Cities Buildings

Downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul, the North Loop warehouse conversions and Uptown buildings require a certificate of insurance naming the building, a reserved service elevator and a booked move-in window, usually weekdays only. Send the requirements with your estimate request.

Lake & Cabin Properties

Homes on Minnetonka, White Bear Lake and the lake country north of the metro often sit below road grade with long stairways down to the house, or on private lanes with weight limits and seasonal road restrictions. That changes crew size and time.

Spring Road Restrictions

Minnesota posts seasonal weight limits on many roads during the spring thaw, which restrict where a loaded truck can legally travel. Routing is set when the move is quoted and checked again before dispatch.

Rochester Medical Relocations

The medical centre draws steady inbound relocation, often on fixed start dates tied to a position or a treatment schedule. Those dates leave little flexibility, so book as early as you can and tell us if the timeline is fixed.

Process

How an Interstate Move Works

  1. Step 1

    Survey

An in-home or virtual walkthrough of every room, closet, garage and attic, so the estimate is built on your actual inventory.

  2. Step 2

    Written Estimate

You receive the expected charges in writing, with packing, materials, access and any shuttle itemized rather than added later.

  3. Step 3

    Schedule Locked

On approval we reserve the crew and equipment, confirm your delivery window and start on any condo or HOA paperwork.

  4. Step 4

    Pack & Load

Everything is padded, inventoried and tagged. You get a copy of the inventory before the trailer leaves.

  5. Step 5

    Delivery in Minnesota

We check the shipment in against that same inventory, place furniture in the rooms you designate and reassemble what we took apart.

Questions

Texas to Minnesota Moving FAQ

How much does it cost to move from Texas to Minnesota?

An interstate move from Texas to Minnesota is priced on the weight or volume of your shipment plus the mileage, not by the hour. Winter access matters here in a way it does not on southern lanes — clearing, salting and the extra time a frozen carry takes all affect the day. Condor provides a written estimate before your shipment is loaded.

How long does a move from Texas to Minnesota take?

Dallas–Fort Worth to Minneapolis is about 940 miles, straight up I-35, and Houston about 1,190. Interstate moves are scheduled with a delivery spread rather than a single guaranteed date, and winter conditions can widen that window considerably. Your estimate states the window for your route.

Can you move to Minnesota in winter?

Yes, and a great deal of the lane runs through it. From November into April expect sustained sub-freezing temperatures, heavy snow and ice, with I-35 closing in blizzard conditions at short notice. Driveways and walkways need clearing and salting before the crew arrives so the carry is safe.

Will the cold damage my belongings?

It can. Liquids freeze and split, and electronics, musical instruments, artwork and anything with a battery or screen do not respond well to hours at deep winter temperatures. Tell us about cold-sensitive belongings so they can be flagged, and plan to carry the most vulnerable items yourself.

Can you deliver to a lake home or cabin?

Yes. Properties on Minnetonka, White Bear Lake and in the lake country often sit below road grade with long stairways, or on private lanes with weight limits and seasonal road restrictions. Tell us when you request the estimate so the crew, equipment and route match the property.

Is Condor Moving Systems licensed for interstate moves?

Yes. Condor Moving Systems operates under USDOT 1126171 and MC 458180 for interstate moves and TxDMV 006041428C within Texas. Interstate household moves are regulated by the FMCSA, and Condor provides the federal Your Rights and Responsibilities When You Move booklet with interstate estimates.

What if my Minnesota home is not ready when my shipment arrives?

Condor offers storage in transit for gaps between move-out and move-in. Your goods stay inventoried so the same shipment is redelivered without a second full pack. Tell your moving consultant if your closing or lease date is uncertain so the schedule is built with that in mind.
