How Moving Estimates Work
Local moves are billed hourly by crew size. Long-distance and interstate moves are priced on the weight or volume of your shipment, the distance and any added services. Either way, you get a free written estimate before you book.
Binding Estimate
The price on your estimate is the price you pay for the services and items listed, as long as the move matches the inventory.
Not-to-Exceed Estimate
You pay the lower of the estimate or the actual charges, so the estimate works as a ceiling.
Hourly Local Rate
Local moves are billed by the hour for the crew and truck, with the rate and minimum shown on your written estimate.

When is the best time to move in Texas?
Many people prefer October through April to avoid summer heat. Mid-week and mid-month dates usually have more availability than weekends and the end of the month. Booking two to four weeks ahead for a local move, and four to six weeks ahead for a long-distance move, gives you the best choice of dates.
How long does a move take?
Most local moves within Texas are completed in one day. Long-distance moves typically take 1 to 10 business days for delivery, depending on the distance and destination. Your moving consultant will give you a delivery window with your estimate.
Do I need to be home during the move?
You don't need to be present the whole time, but you or someone you trust should be there for the walkthrough at pickup and again at delivery, to confirm what is going and where everything should be placed.
What packing options are available?
You can choose full packing, partial packing, fragile-only packing or pack everything yourself. Condor also sells moving boxes and packing supplies online for customers who want to pack on their own.
What if my move date changes?
Call your moving consultant as soon as you know. Condor will do its best to move you to a new date, although rates and availability can change with the new date.
