Questions and Answers

Moving Questions

How many movers will show up on moving day?

The number of movers required depends on the size of the move, but typically, we send a team of 3 movers, consisting of 1 driver/foreman and 2 helpers.

How are customers’ items kept separate from other customers’ items?

On moving day, items are tagged with inventory stickers that are color coded, lot coded, and numbered. A detailed inventory of those items and their condition is taken at pickup and kept with the shipment to check-off during loading and unloading.

How do you estimate the weight of my shipment when providing a quote?

To estimate the weight of a customer’s shipment for a quote, we request a list of the items they intend to move. We use an industry-standard table of weights and measurements, which helps us in approximating the weight based on the provided list.

How do you know the actual weight of my shipment on moving day?

On the day of the move, the truck is weighed before and after loading at a certified weight station to determine the heavy and light weights. The difference of the two weight tickets determines the final weight of the shipment.
