Are There Any Items Your Local Movers Won’t Move?
Condor Moving Systems is focused on safe moving protocols for our local movers. We will not move anything deemed a hazardous material that could be flammable or explosive. Examples of hazardous non-allowable items include acids, aerosols, car or household batteries, paint thinner, fireworks, pesticides, pool chemicals, and propane tanks. We will also not move anything considered perishable, including frozen or refrigerated foods, open food products, and plants.
Can Your Local Movers Handle Pianos and Fragile Items?
Yes, our local movers are trained to handle special care items, including pianos, grandfather clocks, antiques, and pool tables. Your moving consultant can provide you with an estimate for moving these fragile or bulky items, which may require specialized equipment for their safe transport.

Yes, every move includes furniture assembly and disassembly services. However, we will not assemble or disassemble any ready-to-assemble (RTA) or pressed-wood furniture, bunk beds, or cribs. We ask that you handle their assembly and disassembly for safe transport.

How Should I Prepare for My Local Move Across Texas?

At least 6 weeks before your move, meet with us to go over the costs and arrange for any extra services. Four weeks before your move is the time to begin packing and sorting your household goods, discarding or donating any unwanted items. About 3 weeks before your move, contact your utility companies to transfer services or make arrangements with us for concierge services if you want us to handle these details for you. Be sure to notify the post office and your employer and healthcare providers of your change of address. Also make arrangements to transport pets, plants, or perishable items. What Happens if My Items Are Lost or Damaged During Moving?
At Condor Moving Systems, we take every precaution possible to protect your belongings during transport. However, accidents do sometimes happen, and we provide moving coverage options to replace lost or damaged items. The most economical protection available is release value coverage (minimum carrier’s liability), which assumes liability and bases claims on the weight of the article multiplied by 60 cents per pound. This coverage comes standard with all our moves. We also offer full-value protection coverage, which bases claims on the weight of the article multiplied by $6 per pound.
